My kiddo is graduating from GB this year and we cant say enough good things about it. We are going to miss the teachers so much. Warm loving place that really cares about the kids! Shes learned so much and we cant say enough good things about it.

My daughter has been at Great Beginnings for the past two years, starting when she turned two. As she transitions to TK, I write this review with mixed emotionssadness that shes leaving but immense gratitude for the wonderful experience she had.

Great Beginnings has been exceptional for her development. Being a pandemic baby, she missed out on typical early social interactions, and we were concerned about her social development. We noticed her yearning for human connection whenever we passed by other children. Once the vaccine was approved for kids, we immediately started looking at preschools. After visiting a few, we knew Great Beginnings was the right choice.

From the beginning, interacting with Ms. Lana during the enrollment process to the various teachers like Ms. Martina, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Jeanne, Ms. Karen, and others whose names escape me, it was an incredible experience. Within weeks, her social skills improved, and she began sharing with other children. Her language abilities soared within the first month, and she started speaking in complete sentences. She was always a picky eater, but attending Great Beginnings made her more open to trying new foods.

What we absolutely loved about Great Beginnings was the diversity of the student body. It was heartwarming to see her interact with children from various backgroundsBlack, white, Hispanic, Asian, and mixed. Shes made friends from all walks of life.

We can't thank Great Beginnings enough for preparing our little girl for the next stage of her life and her educational journey.

My son attended Great Beginnings before transitioning into LAUSD classroom. As a parent, it is always important to research and ask the questions you need to ask to feel comfortable leaving your child. From the start we had great communication with the school administrative staff who helped ease our concerns. Throughout the time my son attended I didnt have any issues or problems with the staff, we appreciate all the extra attention our son received while at school. I can't begin to express the gratitude I have for the support that the Great Beginnings' team provided to my 4yr old, specially Ms. Alma and Ms. Martina. My son is now enrolled at the local district school but we walked away with a deep sense of appreciation and satisfaction with the school and program. My son had a magnificent experience at this school and has grown leaps and bounds since enrolling in August.

I was initially worried because I wanted a place that would be safe enough for a student with Autism that had difficulties communicating. I also was looking for a place that would allow his ABA therapist to attend with him. His ABA Therapist was there 9 hours a week, three mornings and she never witnessed anything bad happening to my child or others.

The school was accommodating from the very beginning and they ensured that my son was safe and supported the whole time there. I'm immensely thankful to Ms. Martina for believing in him and reassuring me that your staff could support him and his needs. Ms. Alma was warm and patient with him and made the difficult morning transitions easier on him.

The team was also supper helpful and supportive of the communication between both parents. This place was essential to his growth and confidence. I always felt that he was safe and well take care.

We love this school for our son. He has been attending since preschool and is currently in PREK. We love all of the staff - the curriculum is advanced and he has progressed tremendously. In searching for Kindergartens we have come to learn that he is beyond prepared. On top of that, the school is diverse; they teach multi cultural subjects and conflict resolution tactics that we enforce at home as well. We couldnt have chosen a better place for him to be.

One of the best preschools in North Hollywood. If you are looking for a school with caring, compassionate, and intelligent teachers, then I highly recommend you check out Great Beginnings. Funny, somehow I don't think that attitude will last all the way through college, but a parent can still hold out on this dream.

Update: Now that my son has graduated and is in Kindergarten, I would add another star to the review if possible. I see how far advanced my son is and how ahead of the curve he was prepared when he entered kindergarten. I just want to thank all the staff for giving my son so much love and attention when he was attending, you all left such an amazing impression on him, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

I love this school! My oldest graduated pre-k from here and my youngest still attends. They have really great teachers who genuinely care, and fun programs that my kids look forward to! I know my kids are in good hands when I drop them off!

This is an Amazing, Fun, Learning Diverse School and the Staff is always so helpful and great. It took me awhile finding the right school and I'm so happy I came across this one. My Daughter has attended there for 2 years and has so many great memories. Thank you Great Beginnings!

Both of my children attended this wonderful school 5 years apart. My son is currently attending and I couldn't be happier. They offer Spanish, mygym services as well as dance. I came back to this school because of the staff. Mrs. Martina and Mrs. Lana put their all in this program and It's family to me and I trust them with my kids. The curriculum is ahead of many other local programs. Their summer camp includes many activities and community vendors that keep the kids engaged and learning. If you're looking for quality, fun and a safe environment for your children, look no further.

They have a very structured program where they incorporate breakfast, lunch, snack, interactive play, academic lessons, music, and dance. They prepare an excellent Fall and Winter show with singing and dancing and have potlucks for parents throughout the year. If you want more, for an additional fee your children can receive Spanish and gymnastic classes. They create opportunities for parents to be involved, but they don't push the issue.

They also schedule special speakers like police officers, the fire department, dentist, and invite petting zoo programs.

In the summer they have a lot of water play and they rent gigantic water slides for the kids.

The playground is a bit small but they have bicycles, a small playground, a play house. They have a staggering recess and students are separated by age group to ensure safety. The staff brings additional toys for them to play with on tables.

The director provides a calendar of activities for each month, so you will always know ahead of time what to expect. My son loves his school, his friends, his teachers, and looks forward to school every single day. I feel completely comfortable leaving my son and trust that the faculty will do an excellent job caring for my son.

We brought our son to Great Beginnings after he was attending another preschool. His old preschool was good but the teacher looked miserable all the time and the school was sorta dirty. Also they were closed for weeks at a time which did not work for my husband and I who work full time with no help around.

So we decided to look elsewhere. I instantly fell in love with Great Beginnings Preschool. Martina and Lana (director and owner) seem to really enjoy what they do and genuinely care for the well being of the kids. I love all the teachers with big shout out to miss waffa! My son still talks about her even though he is in another grade. She is stern but caring and sweet. Exactly what a 2-3 year old needs to learn his boundaries.

My son really thrives at this preschool. He's made so many friends and always looks so happy when I pick him up!! And they are super clean and close the a reasonable amount of time for holidays etc:)

My son attended Great Beginnings for a year everyone was amazing with him from the director to the teachers to the parents to the kids. They call it a community and that's what it really is. They make you feel apart of a family. Thank you Ms. Lana, Ms. Martina, Ms. Karen, Ms. Waffa and so many more to mention for being apart of my child's journey.

GREAT BEGINNINGS has been a wonderful environment for my little one. My little guy has special needs and they have been totally understanding of his therapists coming and working with him at the school. They've been open to all of our ideas to help make it the best environment for him and other children. Although they are not trained in this field, they have done their best to accommodate us and our needs. At this time, we are leaving GREAT BEGINNINGS because my little guy needs more intensive therapy. We are sad to be leaving GB and will hopefully return when he's ready for that environment. At least for summer camp. Miss Martina, Lana are always there to talk and they're open to try new things. Miss Karen, his teacher, is a lovely lady and my little guy will definitely miss her and everyone who works at GB.

I love Great Beginnings so much. The teachers and the director are clearly devoted to their jobs. Every day when I go to pick up my son, it's such a warm and positive environment. My son's social and scholastic development skyrocketed once he started going to school here. It's hard to believe he has come so far in a year and a half, and I attribute a lot of that to Great Beginnings.

Thank you to the teachers for all of the communication about my son's day and how he's doing, for all the fun and creative activities they involve the kids in, for facilitating his learning and his friendships, and just for being positive, kind, patient, and caring people who gave me the peace of mind of knowing my son is in a safe and enriching environment every day. We will miss this place for sure, but thanks to them I know he will thrive in kindergarten.

I found GB on yelp , called and all my research went out the door when Ms.Martina answered the phone . She made me feel at ease and answered allllll my crazy questions .

My little one started school in April and has loved every second of it . Her teacher Ms. Karen is so so loving and such an amazing teacher ! She's currently enrolled in summer activities and it's amazing how much she's learned in such a short period of time. They offer a variety of classes such as Spanish, music, and dance that the kiddos can take . She has blossomed into such a beautiful butterfly and I only have GB staff to thank.

We came to Great Beginnings after our prior preschool (which has been named in other reviews here) said they may not be able to provide the care our child needed. She was getting sent home everyday for her tantrums. She has done amazing at Great Beginnings. She hasn't been sent home once and is always excited to go to school and see her friends and teachers. She has only been there a few months and can count to 50 (20 was a struggle when she started) and is recognizing letters, which she couldn't do before. She is always coming home with her face painted, stickers, or some neat project. I am very pleased with the school and all they have done for her. They are also very reasonably priced compared to the other schools in the area.

I have 2boys at this school.I was talking to my husband and collectively we decided that the time that our 2.5 year old has been in this school versus the times that all of my other boys were at ABC little school, great beginnings has impacted our 2.5 yr old son in such a short period of time it's amazing, because by the time they get to pre-k they need to know the colors that they're reading and the association and that's at four and a half years old, my 2.5 yr old already does that. so I personally think that the standards are much higher at this school than at ABC little school. They also don't have TVs in their classrooms. A lot of other schools do. This does affect the kids. I appreciate what Great Beginnings has done with my son. So glad I brought them here.

This is seriously the BEST preschool in Los Angeles! The teachers are amazing, particularly Miss Martina and Miss Kathy who love the children and actually take the time to know each kid individually and teach. Miss Martina is the best director you will ever know! They let each kid find their way while guiding them. My child has grown in leaps since starting at this school, and his behavior has improved as well. I recommend the school to anyone but in particular working parents-- the hours are amazing and my son's regular teachers always seem to be working morning and afternoon! My 3 year old daughter attended Mother Goose Academy pre school for 2 days and they "gave up" on my daughter and told me she was terminated due to her crying too much. Needless to say when my husband picked her up that day he found her in the corner of the room crying with dirt all over her face. Such a heartbreaking moment/feeling for first time parents to find. All these emotions were running and I was skeptical about putting her at another preschool. I yelped and called different schools until I found Great Beginnings Preschool. Ms Martina answered the phone and was super friendly, understanding, caring. She made me feel at ease and stayed on the phone with me for 25 minutes while I told her what happened at the previous school. My daughter has been going their for 2 and half months and everyone their is so nice and attentive. She's doing so much better everyday and I couldn't thank Ms Martina and their wonderful staff for helping me and my daughter through this tough little journey!!! Thank you all sooo much!!!

All I have to say is thank you, thank you, thank you. Our son graduated last year and is now in kindergarten. It is amazing to see how prepared our son was. We always felt that our son got so much love and attention at school and was doing well there but it becomes incredibly obvious when he was in a setting with other kids who didn't attend Great Beginnings. Mrs. Lana has hired an amazing staff, starting with the schools director , Mrs. Martina who runs a "great ship". Ms. Maria was his first teacher and she really helped him get up to speed with his class, since he started mid-year. His Pre-K teacher, Ms. Fabi, holds a special place in his heart. I know how much he loved her and how sweet she was with him. He also had a special bond with Mrs. Martina, who also taught his Pre-K class as well. We have come by to visit a few times and I can not tell you how excited he is to see his old teachers and I'm not gonna lie, they all hold a special place in my heart as well as his. I could not recommend a better place for your child to get prepared for kindergarten then a Great Beginnings. If I could do it all again, I would send him there in a heartbeat. Don't let this amazing school pass your child by, it will be one of the best decisions you could make for your child. Thank you all for being there for Zane.

Our family was lucky to find this gem of a school in our neighborhood! Our son, Milo, absolutely excelled in great beginnings. They have some of the BEST teachers I have ever met and offer the perfect balance between academics and play. Now my son is in kindergarten and absolutely thriving academically and socially because of his phenomenal start at Great Beginnings!

Great Beginnings is a true gem, and we are blessed to have found it. Two of our children have attended Great Beginnings since 2017. Our eldest recently graduated from preschool here and was well-prepared for kindergarten.

I visited about 15 different daycares and preschools around the time I discovered Great Beginnings. I found Great Beginnings to be one of the only preschools that both caters to working parents and is priced reasonably. Great Beginnings conveniently offers morning snacks, a nutritious hot lunch program, and afternoon snacks. The extended hours are especially helpful, as many other preschools close by late afternoon. I also highly appreciate the transparency and open communication we have experienced at Great Beginnings. I get regular updates about how my children are doing and what they're learning at school so I can implement the same things at home. Most importantly, we could not be happier with the teachers and the warm nurture and care our children experience here.

Our children adore all of the Great Beginnings teachers. Mrs. Lana is a wonderful director and has always been proactive in addressing our children's needs and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Mrs. Martina is an excellent teacher and leader - she left me with a lasting first impression of the preschool when I visited. She adds tremendous value to Great Beginnings, and it wouldn't be the same without her! She's confident and loving, yet stern enough to earn respect and guide the children. All of the other teachers are just as amazing - Ms. Fabi, Ms. Maria, Ms. Kathy, Ms. Angie, and Ms. Angelica, to name a few.

Every single one of the teachers has a great attitude, communicates well, and shows a sincere interest in our kids' learning and development. All of the teachers pour their hearts into caring for the children, helping them to gain independence, build confidence, and develop social skills. Great Beginnings keeps the kids busy with tons of activities, academics, and play time. Our kids look forward to going to Great Beginnings, and some days they aren't ready to leave at pick-up! It has been especially rewarding to watch our children develop friendships with the other children, and we have enjoyed getting to know the other parents of the Great Beginnings community.

Overall, we have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Great Beginnings thus far. I have recommended this school to my friends with kids, and I continue to highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful preschool for their children.

During my first visit to Great Beginnings, I felt a sense of caring and safety that greatly influenced my decision to place my daughter in the school. She started attending Great Beginnings when she turned 2, and this summer, at the age of 5 graduated from its preschool. Throughout her years at Great Beginnings, she has been taught and nurtured by loving and professional teachers who remain dedicated to the well-being of the children in their care. They show the children the patience they require, and the parents more patience than we deserve. :) Great Beginnings fully prepared my girl for Kindergarten, while encouraging her to maintain her bubbly, outgoing spirit. Thanks to Ms. Lana for providing a great beginning for my daughter and her former classmates. And an extra special thank you to Ms. Martina for being the daily guiding hand. Full disclosure, one of the yards has a sandbox (which I loathed). But every day I left her there, I knew she would be safe and loved. So thanks again, Great Beginnings!

Choosing Great Beginnings as a Preschool for our 3 year old in 2016 was one of the best decisions our family ever made. We absolutely loved it. My son talked non stop about his teachers, his friends and all of the lovely things he learned and did each day. He graduated this past June and has gone on to attend kindergarten at Dixie Canyon Elementary. His teacher there has been so impressed with him as a student and as a classmate to his peers. We can't wait for our 9 month old to attend Great Beginnings as soon as he's old enough!

This school is amazing. They are very educational when it comes to knowing what to do with the kids. My son is three years old so moving him schools was hard but I'm glad I finally found a school that he doesn't cry when I drop him off. The facility is clean and well organized. I'm very impressed with this school. Thank you to all the staff who can teach my son what he needs to know VS just watching him like a daycare.

My 3 1/2 year old son started Great Beginnings nearly 2 weeks ago and I am very pleased with my decision to have him go there. It's not an easy task of choosing the right school for your child, much less the worrying daily if you made the right choice, if the staff is good, etc.

I know it's only been two weeks but I'm very pleased thus far. My son's teachers appear to take pride in their great responsibility of taking care and teaching our kids. Ms. Joanna, Ms. Brenda and Mrs. Angelica have shown my son warmth and kindness, I'm very grateful. Prior to me registering with the school, Mrs. Martina assisted me on the phone and in person with my million questions and she always had a smile. Mrs. Lana's kindness, professionalism and sincerity made our decision an easy one - thank you again.

I am writing this review as objectively as I can. I have a beautiful 2 1/2 year old boy who was with me day and night until I decided it was time for him to start pre-school a couple months ago as he was getting bored at home and at the office just with me. So, I researched at least 15 schools. I went to see them one by one in the valley area. In one school I placed my son for a week. One day, I accidentally dropped in and they had left him in the corner to just cry and cry until he fell asleep because it was "sleep time." Nobody comforted him or even addressed the fact that it was his first time away from mom. It was horrific to watch. So, I kept searching for at least 6 months!
Finally, I came across GREAT BEGINNINGS! Never have I felt my child's needs placed first than in this school. We started in late July and he LOVES going there. He says goodbye to me and has a smile on his face when I pick him up. Sometimes when my work is finished early, I would stop by to pick him up, I see him singing, dancing, reading, etc. The children are happy. The instructors are caring and lovely people. Ms. Martinez is wonderful and so is Ms. Vanessa (who occasionally sent pics of my son to put my mind at ease). In addition, as I'm getting to learn their names, other instructors that take turns to care for my child's class are wonderful girls! So, we are here with Great Beginnings for about three months now and I am the happiest mom in the Valley!. Forgot to add, they are a "no sugar" school. Can you believe that? A school that STRICTLY promotes healthy eating habits which is such a huge concern of mine as well. So, Thank you Great Beginnings for putting this mom's mind at ease every day she awakes to go to work without her baby boy.

My daughter attended Great Beginnings for almost 3 years. We are grateful for the loving teachers (she had and loved several) and open heart/open door policy/communication. Our daughter has made some of her best friends here and has transitioned into TK beautifully.

Our son has been at this preschool for nine months and we like it a lot. The teachers are all really nice and care about the children. It is always clean and well-organized. I don't have to worry about anything after I drop him off.

This is an Amazing, Fun, Learning Diverse School and the Staff is always so helpful and great. It took me awhile finding the right school and I'm so happy I came across this one. My Daughter has attended there for 2 years and has so many great memories. Thank you Great Beginnings!

Our son started at Great Beginnings at 18 months and will be leaving soon as he is starting kindergarten. We were very happy with this preschool and would highly recommend it. The teachers love the kids. They go above and beyond in finding fun and creative activities. The kids learn a lot. By the time they finish the last year they have been through the whole kindergarten curriculum already and they are starting to read. The teachers emphasize good values and behavior as well. Plus they are open almost every day of the year, which helps working parents.

As a super concerned parent with high standards on optimal child care for my 3 year old, I am so happy with the overall services of this school. My daughter has been attending here for almost 2 years now, and she loves Ms. Stefanie her teacher. I love their method of teaching and the attention I am given about my concerns. Ms. Lana and Ms. Martina demonstrate the love and passion they have for their students day after day. My daughter Natalia has blossomed thanks to all of the warm and caring staff that surrounds her daily. This school is clean, safe and full of integrity.

We love Great Beginnings! Our children received/are receiving a wonderful educational foundation with love, caring, and support. We had been to two other preschools prior to GB and found them seriously lacking; at Great Beginnings, our kids were/are eager to go to school every day. The school is staffed with loving, caring, compassionate teachers and administrators. The campus is always very clean and well cared for. I feel comfortable asking teachers any question I might have, and appreciate their teaching and communication skills with the students. The school also has a low teacher to student ratio, music and dance classes, and a fun summer camp program.

Our twin sons graduated from the developmental kindergarten program last year and have had an easy, successful transition into kindergarten as a result. We credit the Great Beginnings teachers with sending them off to elementary school with the skills they need to thrive. Our three year old daughter is currently enrolled and loves going to school. She has sweet relationships with her teachers and fellow students, and is already showing number and letter recognition/preliminary reading and counting skills.

But, the most important thing is, of course, that all of our children have been very HAPPY at Great Beginnings.

My son went to Great Beginnings for full 3 years. He loved the place and the teachers which are very loving and caring, treating the kids as their own with lots of hugs and kisses. Even now after almost a year of kindergarten he is asking when he can go back to visit them because he misses his teachers, unfortunately we moved out of state and is not that easy, but one day probably we will.His transition to kindergarten was very easy, and I can say that is because of the hard work the teachers at G.B. put to prepare him for this step. Very clean place, safe and well maintained, and comparing with the other schools I checked before I found G.B. money wise is more affordable. We love Great Beginning!

My son attended GB for two full years. As a single, working mother I needed a safe, nurturing environment for my son and I found that here. I felt like each and every teacher truly cared about him. (And still do when we stop by to say hello!) The activities kept him stimulated and happy, the building and yard are private and there is a security code to get in which is just that added comfort knowing your child is secure. We were sad to say goodbye, but grateful to have spent those years here. It's like a little family away from home.

This is a wonderful school! Our child went here for almost 2 years and enjoyed every day she spent here. She couldn't wait to get to school and when she ran in and opened the door, the teachers gave her and the other kids for that matter, the BEST welcome every morning! The teachers are very loving and treat the kids as if they were their own. Ms. Martina, who is the Site Manager and "den mother" of the school helped teach our daughter respect and all of the teachers had a noticeable, positive effect on her. Ms. Carla, Vanessa and the rest of the staff are all fantastic. They did a number of neat projects for the kids, like planting a vegetable and fruit garden there.

What was also very helpful for working parents is that you can drop off or pick up from 6:30 am to 6pm! It is also very reasonable compared to some other schools in the area.

Even though it has been almost 9 months, my daughter still mentions Great Beginnings. She had the best time there in a loving environment. Isn't that what it's all about for a preschool?

Ms. Martinez is one of the most caring,smart, knowledgable, hardworking, understanding and loving teacher as well as director of a children's school or children's establishment that I have ever met in my 8 years so of being a parent. If i could turn back the clock and would have known about how amazing this place was then I would have sent my daughter here in a heartbeat :) My son has sprouted here from a speech delayed anti-social toddler in to an assertive and happy growing boy in only the past 18 months of being here. I don't know what we would do without this place or Ms Martinez !!

Having been there almost three years, recently entering Kindergarten, I will forever credit Great Beginnings with the how ready and excited he was to continue learning. He is the boy this staff helped me in raising. They are responsible for a percentage of his growth and the child becoming the little boy I love today. I will forever be grateful for the beginnings they helped me give him. My older son had been to a different preschool I though highly of, but nothing compares to the experience and heart we found in the staff at Great Beginnings.

my two children attended this school for a combined period of 5.5 years. We could not have been happier with the love and support they received from their teachers and the administration. You always knew the kids were in good hands. The school also emphasizes academic achievements. It's nice that they spend so much time working with the kids and giving them "homework." It has helped my children transition to kinder very easily. We are going to miss the entire staff, especially Ms. Martina, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Maria and Ms. Fabi... so much!!!

My daughter has learned so much in the 16 months shes been here. The teachers are very caring and attentive to the children. Its such a relief to have a place where you can take your child and feel they are safe and taken care of. In addition to the teachers, the children and parents are super nice and respectful!

My 7 year old attended their program 5 years ago and my son is currently attending. I came back because I loved the staff and environment. The families are very supportive and engaged and there are many activities provided to the children to learn. Summer camp is a blast and they also offer additional services such as Spanish, dance, and mygym. My son and daughter love going to school. It's fun, safe, and a great program.

Both of my children attended this wonderful school 5 years apart. My son is currently attending and I couldn't be happier. They offer Spanish, mygym services as well as dance. I came back to this school because of the staff. Mrs. Martina and Mrs. Lana put their all in this program and It's family to me and I trust them with my kids. The curriculum is ahead of many other local programs. Their summer camp includes many activities and community vendors that keep the kids engaged and learning. If you're looking for quality, fun and a safe environment for your children, look no further.

My daughter attended Great Beginnings for 2 1/2 years. She matured a lot due to the great teachers. She is now in kindergarten and was accepted to one of the better private schools in the valley and I contribute this partially to the education provided at Great Beginnings. She was involved in Spanish her whole time there and they put on great school events. She loved her teachers and still loves to go back and visit.

Great Beginnings has been such a blessing to our family. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to not only provide academic instruction that enhances early learning but they also provide a loving and caring environment. My son rarely wants to leave at the end of the day! I am relieved that I can drop him off each morning knowing he is well taken care of and establish early learning skills as well.

We love this school!! The staff is wonderful. My son has learned so much in the 2 years he has spent here. Most importantly I have seem tremendous growth in his social skills. We have also seen him grow academically and expand his interests. We have made friends here and enjoy the fun activities during summer time. It is a safe, friendly environment, and the teacher's are excellent at communicating with parents. I would highly recommend.
